St. Elmo School District is partnering with the United States Census Bureau in asking that all residents in the St. Elmo Community participate in the 2010 Census.  The 2010 Census is easy, important, and safe to complete.  There are ten questions on the form and it should take no more than 10 minutes to complete.
More than $400 billion dollars per year in federal and state funding is allocated to states and communities based in part on Census data.
Some federal funding for schools is more accurately allocated if communities complete their Census forms.
Please help our community to achieve a higher percentage completion rate in returning the 2010 Census.  It can make a difference in programs and services that are provided to our communities and our schools by the federal government. Census forms will arrive in the mail to all households in March – and should be returned by mail on or before April 1st.
