A little about our class: The classes taught in room 125 are English III, English IIII, Algebra, General Science & U. S. History. We have mainly Juniors and Seniors in our class and some Sophomores. We are always busy in here! Resource classes are also held in room 125. We have a variety of students and abilities, so if anyone every needs any help, come in and see me!!

A little about Mrs. Matlock: This is my second year teaching!!! I graduated from SIUE Cum Laude in December, 2006 with a Special Education Bachelors Degree. While attending SIUE I became involved with The Council for Exceptional Children and I am still a member. I also was in Kappa Delta Phi Honor Society. I did my methods practicum at Highland, Upper Elementary School. I did my student teaching at Renfro Elementary School in Collinsville, and Collinsville High School.

A little about the things we do in here: In English we will be reading several short stories. I’ve picked some spooky ones since Halloween is approaching. We are also going to be reading novels. We are going to start reading Treasure Island, by Robert Louis Stevenson sometime after October. In Math and Algebra we are working on the basics all the way up to order of operations, cumulative and inverse properties, polynomials, etc. In General Business we are doing a lot of fun activities like, making advertisements for “our businesses” we have started, planning a vacation, planning a dinner and cost, etc. Right now in Science we are exploring the make up of all living things. In History we are learning about America’s story and starting at the very beginning.
