Assignments for Mrs. Hudson’s Classes

(I will try to update this page weekly, as much as possible. Due to the nature of learning a foreign language, some assignments and/or dates may need to be changed or quizzes/tests rescheduled, according to the needs of the students in each class!)

Please note: The assignments for each day and the dates for upcoming quizzes/tests will appear daily on the class chalkboard.  This information will reflect any changes that come up during the week.

STUDY TIPS FOR SPANISH STUDENTS (and parents)

1.    Students should spend at least 15-20 minutes every school night looking over class notes, worksheets, and textbook material covered in class that day.

2.    Students should begin studying for quizzes/tests as soon as these are announced.  These are always announced well in advance!

3.    A foreign language cannot be learned by simply studying the night before a test or quiz!

4.    Repetition, reading aloud, writing, and memorizing new words daily are essential to be successful in Spanish class.

5.    Students are encouraged to use index cards to study vocabulary words. This is best done by writing the Spanish word on one side of the card and the English word on the other side. The student may study these alone or with someone else. If the other person helping the student study does not know Spanish, that is not a problem! Simply have the person say the word in English and then have the student spell it and say it in Spanish!
