Alumni Speak to students during Red Ribbon Week

St. Elmo Jr/Sr High School - Nov 1st, 2018

As part of Red Ribbon Week for the St. Elmo School District, the Jr/Sr High Students were able to listen to two alumni speak about their past experiences and share some advice for the future.  Dr. Samantha Morrison was the first speak.  She is an Alumnus from 2008, and is currently a Chiropractor in Effingham, Illinois.  She shared experiences about some of the things she learned while she attended St. Elmo and shared with the students her path to becoming a chiropractor.  The other guest speaker was Mr. Blaine Wilhour.  An Alumnus from 2000, he is currently seeking to represent the 107th district in the State House of Representatives.  He also helps run the family farm and is a managing partner of Longhorn Buildings, LLC.  While speaking, he shared stories about being a student at St. Elmo and growing up on the family farm, as well as giving great advice to the students.
