CASEY’S STAFF MEMBER OF THE MONTH
Erick Somodi is the winner of the random drawing for the December “staff member of the month” at St. Elmo CUSD #202. Erick teaches Band, Chorus, General Music, and Co-Op Education. He also serves as the Assistant Coach of the High School Girls Softball team.
This is Erick’s ninth year in the district. When asked what he likes best about his job, he said that he enjoys being able to create musical moments with the students, and to teach them skills that they will use in the future.
Mr. Somodi’s hobbies include listening to music, playing tuba, taking pictures, DJ’ing, and spending time with his family. He and his wife, Laura, have been married for 11 years. They have 3 children--Jackson, Miles, and Addison.
