Morgan Stremming was the winner of the Teacher Spotlight drawing, sponsored by Jordan Mahon, Country Financial.
Morgan is the St. Elmo high school guidance counselor. A big thanks to Stefanie Putnam with Small Town Treats and Dena Rene with Pomifera for donating some goodies for her gift basket!
This is Morgan's first year working at the high school and she is loving it! She grew up in the Stewardson-Strasburg area and attended Lake Land College and EIU, where she received her Master's Degree in school counseling.
In her free time she likes to have movie nights with friends, and she enjoys playing sand volleyball in the summer.
Her favorite quote is “Life is like a bicycle--to keep your balance you must keep moving.” And “You can’t control what life gives you but you can control how you react.”
The best advice she’s ever been given is “in order to get where you want to go you can’t be afraid to use your voice and ask questions.”
A little known fact about her is she knows an absurd amount of Disney trivia and she is still best friends with her 3 best friends from elementary school.
