St Elmo FFA attends the Farm Progress Show!
Congratulations to the St Elmo FFA Soils Judging Team for their 2nd Place Overall finish at the Farm Progress Show Soils Judging Competition hosted by Purdue University & the University of Illinois. Team members include Anna Stine, Lane Stine, Wade Stine, Lowell Wilhour, Jack Wilhour, Dayana Haslett, and Cami Haslett.
Congratulations to the St Elmo FFA Horse Judging Team! They finished 1st Place Overall at the Section 19 Horse Judging CDE. Wade Stine and Peyton Garrard finished in the top 10 as individuals. Team members included Wade Stine, Lane Stine, Lane McAllister, Luke Loy, Peyton Garrard, Emmalyn Wright, Cami Haslett, and Dayana Haslett.
There will be a Jr. High Scholar Bowl Meeting for those that signed up on Fri., Sept. 1 at 2:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Coach Robin Miller will be here to hold the meeting and it may last 10-15 minutes.
There will be a Trap Team meeting on August 23 for anyone interested in being on the Trap Team. The meeting will be held in the high school cafeteria at 6:30 p.m.
High School Cheerleading will be holding a tryout for one open spot on the H.S. cheer squad for this year.
This tryout will take place Monday, Aug. 21 at 4:30 p.m. in the Brownstown Elementary School.

The St Elmo FFA is holding their Annual Fall Mum fundraiser! They are a 10" Mum with the color choices of red, white, yellow, pink/purple and an orange/bronze shade! Price is $13.00 each! Please contact Mrs. Totten or a FFA member if you would like to order! Pickup is on Thursday, September 14th from 2:30 - 6:00 at the St Elmo High School Ag Shop!
First Day of School for the 2023-2024 is Wednesday, August 16, 2023. This will be a full day of student attendance. Wishing everyone a great year!
Elementary students (pre-k to 6th) and parents; we will have our Meet the Teacher Night Tuesday, 8-15-23 from 4:30-6:00 p.m. This will be an opportunity to meet your student's teacher for the year and to drop off school supplies prior to the first day of school (8-16-23). I hope to see you there and look forward to a GREAT YEAR!
BSE JH Baseball practice starts on Monday, July 31st at the Brownstown JH Baseball Field. Practice will be held from 6-8pm all week. There will be a parent meeting at the beginning of the first practice on July 31st.
There will be a HS volleyball parent meeting on July 31 at 6:30pm in the SEHS gym.

**There will be a Parent Meeting for JH Softball after the first practice on July 24, 2023, starting at 7:30 p.m. at Deken Park.**
Jr. High Softball practice will begin on Monday, July 24, 2023, at Deken Park in St. Elmo. Current Physicals and Athletic Fees ($50) will need turned in to the office that the player attends school prior to July 24, 2023.
The practice schedule for the first week is below:
July 24 = 6:00 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
July 25-28 = 7:30 a.m. - 9:30 a.m.
REVISED SCHOOL REGISTRATION FOR 2023-2024
In addition to the prior post regarding JH Baseball: The BSE JH Baseball Team will have summer workouts on July 12, 13, 14, 17, & 18 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Brownstown JH Baseball Field for 6th-8th graders interested in playing JH Baseball this Fall.
The BSE JH Baseball Team will have a few summer workouts on Wednesday, July 12th through Friday, July 14th from 6:30pm-8:30pm for those interested in playing JH Baseball. This is also for 6th grade boys.
Reminder: All athletes must have a physical on file before participating in any practices for BSE and SEB Athletics. Physicals should be turned in to the HS Office asap. Please do not turn them in to the coaches.
