St. Elmo FFA attended the Illinois FFA Legislation Reception held at the Wyndham Springfield City Center on March 22, 2022 where they were given the opportunity to advocate for agriculture and discuss different agricultural topics of concern with area legislators. The Horticulture students would like to thank Shelby County Community Services for allowing the students to tour their facilities and pick out plants!
The Intro to Agriculture students would like to thank Willenborg Dairy Farm for an awesome tour today of their dairy farm and milking parlor!

Congratulations to St. Elmo FFA members, David Stine and Josie Strauch for being awarded their American FFA Degree, which is the highest award a member can achieve at the national level. Stine & Strauch will be honored at the Illinois State FFA Convention on June 14, 2022 and at the National FFA Convention on October 29, 2022 at the Lucas Oil Stadium!

St. Elmo FFA Members held a TrIvia Contest as part of their National FFA Week activities. The winning team was Audrey Wilhour, Sydney Stine, Anna Stine and Kinley Carson. Camo & Hat Day was the dress up theme for Wednesday!
Today the St. Elmo FFA honored our Greenhand members and cooked breakfast for the staff to show our appreciation for all that they do for our students!
The St. Elmo FFA kicked off National FFA Week today with the Officer team attending the Beecher City Church of Christ. Here are the activities for the rest of the week:
Tuesday - Teacher Appreciation Breakfast, FFA Shirt Day, Greenhand Day and Kernel Kount
Wednesday - Camo/Hat Day and Trivia Night
Thursday - Red, White & Blue Day, Grade School Coloring Contest, and Ag Olympics at the Elementary School
Friday - Flannel Friday, Drive Your Tractor to School Day (permission form required), and the FFA Alumni Honor Roll Steak Luncheon
Due to anticipated weather, we will dismiss school at 1:00 pm today. All evening activities are cancelled. Parent/teacher conferences will be rescheduled for next Thursday, Feb. 24th from 4-7:30 pm. Collin Hannagan Advances to District IV FFA Proficiency Awards
The Section 19 FFA Proficiency Awards were held at the St. Elmo High School on Wednesday, February 16, 2022. There were 12 schools in attendance for the competition. Collin Hannagan finished 1st place overall in the area of Specialty Animal Production. Collin will now advance to the District IV Proficiency Awards on March 9, 2022 at Mt. Zion High School.

Friday - Weekend Spirit (Wear appropriate pajamas and robes!)
