We want to extend our heartfelt thanks to our local veterans for hosting our 5th grade students at the American Legion today and sharing their stories. We learned about their service, the contributions of local community members, the meaning of “in harm’s way,” and how we can give our all in all we do daily. Visiting the memorial site, we saw the names of soldiers who gave their all for the freedoms we enjoy today.
